The Bolgatanga Polytechnic was established in September, 1999 and admitted its first batch of students in September 2003. The Polytechnic is a public tertiary institution in the Upper East Region of Ghana. It is a co-educational Centre that offers various academic programmes that lead to the award of the a Higher National Diploma certificate. The polytechnic has Nine Sister institutions in all the other Nine regions of Ghana.
